What exactly is Nintendo-Scene?

* Visit Nintendo-Scene at www.Nintendo-Scene.com

History:
Nintendo-Scene was created out of necessity. Mostly limited to little off-topic forums scattered about the internet, Nintendo consoles have rarely received their fair share of the limelight in terms of the modification community. When the Wii launched it was clear that the console was going to propel Nintendo back into a leading marketshare position in the console race. Xbox-Scene, the premier website for the Xbox, Xbox 360 and PS3 modification community made it clear that they were not interested in adding the Wii, or any other Nintendo console scene as an equal part in their community. Nintendo-Scene was borne out of the desire to create a community with the same ideals and driving force as Xbox-Scene to accommodate and push forward the Nintendo modification community.

Software:
Nintendo-Scene supports the open source community. News and content delivery is powered by WordPress, and is presented through a modified version of the Water3 theme by the undersigned. Our Community forums are powered by Simple Machines, and is presented through the SoftMC Blue theme by webtechnica, and our technical documentation is graciously hosted by the people at Wiki-Scene. Nintendo-Scene would like to encourage it’s users to to support these open source projects by spreading the word about them. If you’re feeling generous and appreciate the functionality they provide we encourage you to donate to those projects as well.

Technology:
Nintendo-Scene runs on a L.A.M.P. Server; proudly powered by Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP.

Being an avid "modder," I've been with Nintendo-Scene pretty much from the start. I helped it gain popularity by releasing some of the most in-depth tutorials on the internet revolving around Wii, Wii Remote, and Wii Nunchuck modifications. Being live help, I constantly post on the site. I help run the site as I am one of the very few moderators Nintendo-Scene has.
